“I do not get emails regarding a concert however Mike’s performance stirred up numerous ones the next day, telling me how much they enjoyed Mike and his bassist Clipper Anderson.

Our board members say good-bye to everyone as they leave the auditorium, and our audience all had smiles on their faces and told us how terrific Mike was. Many of them wanted me to book Mike again that night for an encore performance for next season.

Mike invited a talented young vocalist from our local high-school as well as the high-school’s band teacher and talented clarinetist, to guest with him during the concert and I’m in awe how Mike can work with the youth and people of all ages to create a winning atmosphere for all of them. He’s the real deal, and genuine is his passion to make music for all to enjoy.

Mike is so engaging it’s like he’s speaking and playing just to you in your own home. Mike is one of our top engaging performers we have had. Adding Clipper To the mix was incredible and I appreciate Mike making that commitment for us.”

“Mike Strickland had our audience captured from the second he walked on stage smartly attired in his finery. Our board was very pleased with the response and have heard rave reviews all week. Mike wove a spell of optimism, and put hope in our hearts.

Sunday Afternoon Live will invite Strickland back during its 10th Anniversary season as one of the audience’s selected all-time favorites.

As a presenter, I found the Strickland’s easy to work with and accommodating to the needs of our organization, venue and audience.”

“The Mike Strickland Trio enchanted the audience with their variety of musical selections. Whether sharing one of his own compositions or playing a familiar melody, Mike’s interaction with the audience was warmly received. Clipper and Jack not only enhanced Mike’s playing, but also showed their own musical expertise. This evening of entertainment brought a smile to each one who attended and is certain to be a hit in any community concert series.”

“Mike was an extraordinary pianist. His technique was incredible….as good or better than many classical pianists. He used his phenomenal ability in every musical genre he performed….jazz, blues, classical and contemporary styles. And a dog on stage! That was a definite audience pleaser.”

Marilyn Rowland, board member, Modesto Community Concert Association

“Warm, cozy, and intimate, with an ample sprinkling of brilliance and musicality, that describes Mike Strickland’s performance in Port Ludlow, WA. He truly gave the audience a night to remember! Mike appeared here for second time, brought back by repeated requests from our audience, to once again charm and engage all of those in attendance. He is a sensational musician; a gifted composer and his engaging narratives from the stage make you feel like a personal friend enjoying an evening of music and stories in the comfort of your living room. Be prepared, if you have Mike Strickland for your concert series, you will have him back again and again!”
